The Council defends the interests of Russian and Saudi businesses and is committed to strengthening economic ties between the two countries by promoting mutual understanding and cooperation
Goals and objectives of the Council:
- Expansion and development of business contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Saudi entrepreneurs
- Search for mutually beneficial investment opportunities, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Russian entrepreneurs in their relations with Russian and Saudi governmental and commercial organisations
- Enhancing the role of the Russian business community in the development and implementation of state policies in the field of Russian-Saudi economic relations
- Joining efforts and organizing a constructive dialogue between the business circles of Russia and Saudi Arabia interested in the progressive development and improvement of Russian-Saudi business cooperation
Council's Chairmen
- Vladimir EvtushenkovChairman from the Russian sideIn 1993, together with a group of like-minded people, Vladimir Evtushenkov founded Sistema Joint-Stock Financial Corporation.
At present, he actively participates in the development of solutions to improve the competitiveness of domestic industry and foster the development of high technologies and innovations, science and culture.
Mr. Evtushenkov is a member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), co-chairman of the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation, Chairman of the Russian-Saudi Business Council at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, a member of the Russian-Saudi Economic Council, the National Council for Corporate Governance and a number of other business associations.
He heads the boards of trustees of the State Russian Museum Development Fund, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the St. Petersburg State University, the HSE Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM), the Sechenov Moscow State Medical University and a number of other charitable, non-profit and educational organizations. - Sheikh Tariq Al QahtaniChairman from the Saudi sideSheikh Tariq has been the head of the Abdel Hadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani and Sons Group of Companies since 1992.
