Goals and objectives of the Council:
- Expansion and development of business contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Saudi entrepreneurs
- Search for mutually beneficial investment opportunities, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Russian entrepreneurs in their relations with Russian and Saudi governmental and commercial organisations
- Enhancing the role of the Russian business community in the development and implementation of state policies in the field of Russian-Saudi economic relations
- Joining efforts and organizing a constructive dialogue between the business circles of Russia and Saudi Arabia interested in the progressive development and improvement of Russian-Saudi business cooperation
Council's Chairmen
- Vladimir EvtushenkovChairman from the Russian sideVladimir Evtushenkov is a leading Russian entrepreneur, investor and founder of Sistema, the largest Russian public investment corporation.
He focuses on high‑tech, socially significant and long‑term investments. His experience in creating national business champions, working on large‑scale infrastructure projects and applying modern digital technologies makes him a unique partner for identifying joint opportunities in investment, digital transformation and socio‑economic development.
For over 20 years, Mr. Evtushenkov has served as Chairman of the Russian‑Saudi Business Council and as a member of the Russian‑Arab Business Council under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. This makes him one of the key architects of economic dialogue between Russia and the Arab world.
Mr. Evtushenkov is a member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), co-chairman of the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation.
He heads the boards of trustees of the State Russian Museum Development Fund, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the St. Petersburg State University, the HSE Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM), the Sechenov Moscow State Medical University and a number of other charitable, non-profit and educational organizations. - HE Sheikh Tariq Al QahtaniChairman from the Saudi sideSheikh Tariq has been the head of the Abdel Hadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani and Sons Group of Companies since 1992.
